Upcoming 16mm film

Pictures from a 5-minute film shoot about the Day of the Dead. The shoot happened on the 2nd week of December. The final product will be done in April of 2011.
I used a Bolex for 16mm, with b&w film stock.

Turuq (or 'pathways')

Cards.
Oh cards.

I'm so sorry,
For being so selfish;
for always thinking about my benefit,
and my disease.

But please, SOS.

Help me heal,
Help me grow,
help me amend my sins.

I wasn't born a human compass,
So inspire me to find the path home,
because now I'm running around,
Fighting my demons with only sticks and stones.

Lead me,
because I've missed the warning signs.

You've got no motives and no remorse
to say what no one else will mutter,
not even to themselves.

It's in no way a demand,
but a ritual call for help.

The Waiting Game

The one and only bathtub/suicide video I'll EVER do. Had to get it out of the way. Warning: Sound issues ahead :(.

Human Nature

Sooo, here's the video that inspired the pictures in the Aphrodite Chronicles.
Every time I would ask adults when I was a kid why there was war and violence, the answer I would get is that it was in our human nature to do so. But is it really in our nature to constantly fight each other, or is it simply tradition? And what do we get out of it?
I tried to compress our "naturally human" struggle for power in 4 minutes, with the statues of the famous Aphrodite of Milos, The Thinker and The Discus Thrower.

The Aphrodite Chronicles

In preparation for my final project, I went and had a photo shoot with the female actress for my video Human Nature. She's not in her full costume and does not have make-up on in these ones.
I was inspired by the sculpture of Aphrodite(or Venus de Milo). I use what the goddess represents in Greek and Roman mythology to prove some points in my video.

Succubus

I wanted to create a picture of my sexuality, since it seems like the whole subject is influencing my work quite a lot recently.

The Great Escape

Ever since I can remember I've never stayed put in one home/city for more than a couple of years. Now that I can fully appreciate the full impact a city can have in someone, I notice the weight of the things I could leave behind once I move away.
